MEW Postpones Bidding For Construction Contract In Al-Mutla’a

MEED magazine reported that the Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) postponed, for a month, the closing date for a tender to implement the design and construction of 3 reinforced concrete water tanks contract in the residential city of Al-Mutla’a which will have a total capacity of 115 million gallons.

Al-Rai quoting sources explained the qualified companies have an opportunity to submit their bids for the contract until the end of January, pointing out that the qualified companies who were invited to submit bids fir the contract are Kuwait Arab Contractors, Mohammed Abdulmohsen Al-Kharafi and Sons, Al-Ghanim International for General Trading and Contracting, United Gulf Construction, Khaled Ali Al-Kharafi and Brothers Contracting, Al-Hani Contracting and Trading, KCC Engineering and Contracting, Bayan National Construction Contracting, Kuwait Factories Building and Contracting, Combined Group Contracting, Al Ahmadiya Contracting and Trading, Al Dar for Engineering and Construction, and Union of Contractors.

The magazine indicated the Ministry of Public Works is implementing the project in coordination with the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, while the project’s budget is estimated at about $131 million, according to the ‘Med Projects’ index.
