Kuwaiti Islands Development: Creative Projects towards A Prosperous Economy

The Kuwaiti Government always endeavoured to improve the State’s Economy, as it saves no effort to implement the best strategic and developmental projects that generate great results at the local and global levels. In the pursuit of the “New Kuwait” vision of 2023, the government unveiled in 2017 a massive investment project, aiming to transform five Kuwaiti Islands into attractive commercial or touring areas.

This project extends over a 250-square kilometre area and includes the famous Boubyan Island, Failaka Island with its cultural and commercial importance, and the Island of Warbah, located in the North of Kuwait. It also includes the small Miskan Island, which is famous for the most beautiful birds and sea turtles, as well as Qaruh Island, which runs deep into the sea. And since 2018, the government started implementing the project after  allocating huge budgets for it, because of its importance and the expected revenues of 35 Billion Dollars annually.
